Classy but carby

Sunday 7 May 2017

God it's good to be back.

When I started this blog up I made an oath to myself I would have a content up once a week at least. Turns out, life happens. Uni happens. Deadlines and stunts in the library into the early hours of the morning happen and gallivanting in the streets with my photographer George gets put on the back burner.

This blog post isn't going to be the most eloquently put or worth writing home about because even right now, typing this up, I can see a word document tab for a deadline next week staring me in the face, reminding me that I won't be getting a degree from gushing to you all how much I love my new blazer from Zara (Which I do). My last deadline for one whole year is submitted on the 19th which means I can get blogger me back and scrap this girl with stress related break-outs and some seriously questionable buns on my head.

But before that glorious day of freedom, I got to play dress up for a day and channel an illusion that I haven't worn pyjamas not just to bed (but all day) for the past couple of weeks.

I never thought I'd see the day where I would wear a blazer out of choice. My history with blazers has been a forced one: having to wear an ill-fitting polyester number as a part of my high school uniform. It was an initiative to make our school look more presentable, but the blazer couldn't class up any of the girls Miss Sassy/Sexy school "trousers" (if you're not clued up on 2013 trendy school trousers you won't have a clue what I'm on about, try giving it a google).  But thankfully, this Zara blazer doesn't have any resemblance to a high school uniform. I am enamoured with it. Will certainly be over wearing this piece, both in and out of office hours!

Blazer- Zara Jeans- H&M T-shirt- Classy Duds Heels- Pimkie

The t-shirt is from an Australian brand called classy duds and I am obsessed. I spotted them on Instagram and any t-shirt that involves a nod to Gucci aswell as pasta has my vote, everyday. I was kindly sent a couple of pieces from the brand (side note: it genuinely makes me wanna sob every time a brand wants to send me products and work with me) and as well as being genuinely funny, it is gorgeous quality, no 'fruit of the loom' here.

On that note, I should probably retreat back to my university deadline sadness. I can't wait to get myself back to blogging my evenings away and start getting back to creating all the content I have stored all on the notes pages of my phone. so. many. lists.
